Free domain appraisal

How much is my domain worth?

Get a free estimate of what a domain could sell for, based on past sales of similar names, with the reasons behind it. Works for .com, Arab country extensions such as .ae and .sa, and hundreds more.

Enter a domain, such as example.com or example.ae. Without an extension we appraise the .com.

How we estimate a domain's value

  1. We read the name

We split it into words and check whether they are real English or Arabic words, places or brands, and how easy the name is to say.

  2. We compare real sales

We look at what names with the same words, length and extension have sold for.

  3. We weigh the extension

.com sells for the most; country extensions such as .ae and .sa are worth most to buyers in that country.

  4. You get a range and the reasons

A low, likely and high price, how sure we are, and every factor that moved the estimate up or down.

An estimate, not a price tag

A domain is worth what a buyer will pay for it. Our estimate shows where similar names sold, which is the best place to start before you sell a domain or make an offer.

We never put a price on names built on someone else's trademark: they can be taken away in a dispute and have no honest resale value.

What makes a domain name valuable?

Length

Short names are rare. Every letter less usually means a higher price.

Real words

Common words and two-word phrases that people search for sell for far more than made-up letters.

The extension

.com leads, then country extensions in their own market. The same word in a little-known extension is worth much less.

Commercial meaning

Names tied to fields where money is made, such as finance, real estate, travel or health, attract more buyers.

Easy to say and spell

A name people can type right after hearing it once is worth more than one that needs spelling out.

No hyphens or numbers

Hyphens and digits are easy to forget and to get wrong, and they lower the price.

Domain appraisal questions, answered

Cannot find your answer here? Get in touch and we will help.

How accurate is the domain appraisal?

It is an estimate from sales of similar names, not an offer. Real prices depend on the buyer: a company that needs a name may pay far more than the estimate. Use it as a starting point.

Is the domain appraisal free?

Yes, free and without an account. You can appraise as many names as you like, within a fair-use limit per hour.

Do you appraise Arabic and Gulf domains?

Yes. We recognise common Arabic words written in Latin letters, such as souq, dar and noor, and Arab cities and countries, and we weigh country extensions such as .ae, .sa and .qa for their own market.

Does the extension change the value?

A lot. The same word is usually worth the most in .com; a country extension is worth the most to buyers in that country, and newer extensions usually much less.

Why does my domain show no price?

A name built on a famous brand gets a trademark warning instead of a price, because it can be lost in a dispute. Names with very little demand are shown as under our lowest range.

Do you buy domains?

No, we do not buy domains ourselves. If you have a name to sell, contact us about listing it in our marketplace.
