Report abuse of a domain name

Tell us about phishing, malware, spam or other misuse of a domain name registered through DomainSouq.

What to report

Use this page when a domain name registered through DomainSouq is being used for something harmful or illegal, for example:

  • Phishing: a website or message pretending to be a bank, a company or a person to steal passwords or payment details.
  • Malware: a website that installs or spreads harmful software.
  • Spam sent from, or advertising, the domain name.
  • Fraud: a shop or service that takes money and does not deliver, or sells counterfeit goods.
  • Other illegal use of the domain name.

How to report

Email abuse@domainsouq.com with the details below. Write in Arabic or English.

  • The domain name, and the full address (URL) of the page where the problem is.
  • What is wrong and why you believe so, in a few clear sentences.
  • Evidence: screenshots, the original email with its full headers, or the text of the message.
  • How we can reach you, in case we need more information.

What happens next

We read every report. Where our terms and the rules of the registry allow it, we contact the owner of the domain name and, when the misuse is clear, we can suspend the domain name. We cannot remove content from a website that is hosted by someone else, or read the private email of a customer. For that, contact the company that hosts the website or the mailbox.

Disputes about who should own a name, for example a trademark, follow the rules of the registry for that extension. Tell us the name and we will point you to the right procedure.

Law enforcement and official requests

Courts and public authorities can send an official request to the same address. Write from an official email address, say who you are and which authority you act for, name the domain, and add the legal basis for the request. We answer requests that are valid and that we are legally bound to answer.

Customers who need help with their own domain should use the Help centre or open a support request instead; this page is only for misuse.
