Yes. Names directly under .ae are in the registry's unrestricted zone and may be registered by any applicant, with no documents and no UAE address. The name must not infringe anyone else's rights.
Do I need a UAE trade licence?
Not for a name directly under .ae. A UAE trade licence (or a UAE trademark) is only required for co.ae, one of the restricted zones we do not sell.
Can I hide my details in WHOIS?
No. The .ae registry does not offer WHOIS privacy, so your name and email as the registrant can appear in public WHOIS lookups. Use an email address you are happy to show.
What happens if I forget to renew?
The domain stops working on its expiry date, but you can renew it for 30 more days. After that it is deleted and anyone can register it. We email you 30, 7 and 1 days before it expires.
