Register your .org domain
From $12.99 per year Renews at $19.99 per year
.org is the extension the world associates with organisations: charities, associations, communities, schools and open projects. It is run by Public Interest Registry under an agreement with ICANN, and anyone can register a .org name.
We check .org first, then show the same name in our other extensions.
Why register a .org domain?
A .org address tells people your site is about a mission, a community or a cause, not only about selling.
- Open to everyone, with no documents and no residency rules.
- Trusted by donors, members and volunteers.
- Ideal for charities, associations, initiatives, events and open-source projects.

| Who can register | Anyone, anywhere. Although .org is associated with non-profits, the registry agreement sets no requirement to be one. |
| Documents required | None. |
| Registration periods | The registry allows terms of 1 to 10 years. At DomainSouq you can register for 1 to 5 years at a time and renew whenever you like. |
| WHOIS privacy | Allowed. Under ICANN's Registration Data Policy, personal data can be redacted from public lookups, and privacy services are permitted. Our ID Protection keeps your personal contact details out of public WHOIS. |
| Restrictions | Letters a-z, numbers 0-9 and hyphens, up to 63 characters before .org. A name cannot start or end with a hyphen. It must not infringe a trademark or other rights; disputes are handled under ICANN's UDRP. |
| Expiry and deletion | ICANN rules require renewal reminders about one month and one week before expiry, and another within five days after. After expiry the domain stops resolving while it can still be renewed. Once deleted, it enters a 30-day Redemption Grace Period in which it can still be restored, then 5 days of pending delete before anyone can register it. |
