The .sa extension is the official country domain of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, run by SaudiNIC under the Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST). A name directly under .sa, such as yourbrand.sa, shows customers across the Kingdom that you are a Saudi business. It is a restricted extension: before we can register a .sa name you must show that you are entitled to it.

To register a .sa domain you need
- A trademark certificate valid in Saudi Arabia, or a company or business registered in Saudi Arabia (its certificate of incorporation or Commercial Registration will be requested).
- A local address in Saudi Arabia for the domain owner.
- A domain name that is the same as the owner's name, the trademark or the company name. For example, a company called Yourbrand can register yourbrand.sa.

What do I need to register a .sa domain?
A trademark certificate valid in Saudi Arabia, or a company registered in Saudi Arabia with its certificate of incorporation; a local address in Saudi Arabia for the owner; and a domain name that matches the owner's name, the trademark or the company name.
Can I register a .sa domain if I do not live in Saudi Arabia?
Only if you hold a trademark that is valid in Saudi Arabia or own a company registered there, and you can give a local address in the Kingdom for the owner. Without these, choose another extension such as .com.
Does the domain name have to match my company or trademark?
Yes. The name must be the same as the owner's name, the trademark or the company name. A name that does not match can be rejected by the registry.
When do I send the documents?
After you pay. We email you what is needed, and the registration is completed once SaudiNIC accepts the documents. If they are not accepted, the order is not completed and we contact you.
What is the difference between .sa and .com.sa?
A name directly under .sa (yourbrand.sa) is the main Saudi extension. .com.sa is only for businesses with a Commercial Registration or a registered trade name or trademark. We offer names directly under .sa.
Can I register an Arabic .sa name?
Arabic-script names use the separate Arabic extension .السعودية, which is a different registration. Here you can register names in Latin letters under .sa.
Can I hide my details in WHOIS?
No. SaudiNIC has no privacy service for .sa, so ID Protection is not available. Only some registration details are shown publicly.
