Automatic renewal

Let your domains renew themselves with your saved card, and turn it off whenever you like.

New domains renew automatically. About 14 days before the expiry date we renew the domain for one year with your primary card, and you get a receipt and invoice. We email you 30, 7 and 1 day before a domain expires so it is never a surprise.

Turn it on or off

  1. Open Domains. Use the Auto-renew switch on the domain's row, or open the domain and use At a glance or the Renewal tab.
  2. To change several domains at once, tick them in the list and pick an action from the bar that appears.

Switching it off does not cancel the domain: it stays yours and keeps working until its expiry date. We never switch your choice for you.

It needs a card

Automatic renewal uses your primary card (see saved cards). If a payment fails, for example because the card expired, we tell you so you can update the card or renew by hand. Before each charge we check with the registry that the domain is still yours and is due.
